Walk for a Workout

Walking is a great way to get exercise while taking in the sights and sounds of a neighborhood. Every Thursday morning, our Walking Club meets to explore northern Hudson County. To maximize our workout, we walk at a brisk pace for at least 30 minutes and pick routes with hills or stairs. So far, we’ve taken in skyline views along Boulevard East, hiked up and down the Port Imperial staircase in Weehawken, and jogged up a steep incline in the Western Slope neighborhood of Jersey City Heights (see the map below.)
